Who here uses Firefox internet? I DO! I know its probably a little weird for me to do this,... but I love Firefox and learned that they're now trying to set a Guinness world record for most software downloaded in a 24 hour period - for their new Firefox 3! This is my little contribution to Firefox's Download Day... (I had to do something.....)

For those of you that don't know what firefox is, Firefox is an awesome internet browser that has many cool features that other internet browsers don't. It has website shortcuts so that you can get to sites faster. for example: if i type WoW into the address bar it will bring me to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/index.xml, or if I type Google Translation, it will go to http://www.google.com/language_tools. Another amazing thing about it is that you can download cool add-ons made by other people to change the look and add organizers to help you.

lol that really sucks, idk what id do without firefox lol. im currently running the beta for firefox 3 and it is truly amazing! they added in more website shortcuts and now when you type in the adress bar it will search your bookmarks first followed by your recently visited sites, and it doesnt just look at the name, but the description for the site too when you type. it also has an option to search for the current site's hosting area and info so that you can see where its from and if it might be a nock-off site with viruses. it also has a lot more security scans and questions to warn you of potentially harmful things.

the surprise download day was actually 17:00 UTC on June 18, 2008 lol

a total of 8,002,530 people downloaded Firefox 3, and they eliminated people who downloaded more then once by compairing IP numbers,... so its legit. lol
